Abstract
This study investigates the preparedness of third-year Industrial Arts student teachers at Bulacan State University in applying theoretical knowledge to practical teaching scenarios. It aims to assess students’ perceptions of their readiness, the alignment between industrial practices and teacher education, and the effectiveness of hands-on training. A quantitative research design was employed using a structured survey questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were utilized to analyze the responses of the participants. Findings indicate that while students generally perceive themselves as prepared for teaching, notable gaps exist in translating theoretical concepts into real-world application. Key areas identified for improvement include stronger industry-academe collaboration, more immersive and context-based training experiences, and curriculum enhancements to better reflect industrial trends and demands. The results highlight the importance of refining industrial practice components within teacher education programs to ensure a smoother transition from student teaching to professional roles. Although the study offers meaningful insights, its scope is limited to a single cohort; hence, further research is encouraged to validate findings across larger samples and varied institutional settings. These insights can guide educators, policymakers, and curriculum developers in strengthening industrial teacher education programs.
